The St. Mary’s County Department of Recreation, Parks and Community Services is pleased to announce that it will offer several exciting trips and tours this spring. Registration for these trips begins on January 5, 2005. The following is a listing of the trips and tours available to the public.
1. Sunday, March 6, 2005 - Medieval Dinner Theater at Arundel Mills Mall - Enjoy a coach bus trip to Arundel Mills Mall, spend an afternoon shopping and attend the Medieval Dinner Theater. Pre-registration deadline is February 9, 2004; the cost is $84 per person.
2. Saturday, April 9, 2005 - National Cherry Blossom Festival and Parade - See talented marching bands and other musical entertainment. Other festival activities include Sakura Matsuri, arts & crafts, top sushi chefs from Japan and much more. Pre-registration deadline is March 30, 2005; the cost is $35.50 per person.
3. Saturday, May, 7, 2005 - A Day on Your Own in New York City - Enjoy a day in this fabulous city. Dine, sightsee, shop, stroll in Central Park and the Village or stay right downtown - all at your own pace! Pre-registration deadline is April 20, 2005; the cost is $64 per person.
4. Saturday, May, 14, 2005 - National Zoo in Washington, DC – Come and see orangutans, giant pandas, young western lowland gorillas, Sumatran tiger cubs, Asian elephants and many other interesting animals and reptiles zoo. Pre-registration deadline is April 27, 2005; the cost is $41 per person with lunch or $34.50 without lunch.
