Destruction of Property
On August 23rd, 2004 at 10:56 am, Deputy M. Jones responded to the 100 block of Dresser Ave, Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported destruction of property. He met with the victim who stated unknown person(s) slashed the front tire of her 98 Volkswagen. There are no suspects in this case.
Burglary
On August 23rd, 2004 at 4:47 pm, Dfc. Naecker responded to the 2000 block of Solomons Island Rd. Huntingtown, Md. for a reported burglary. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) forced their way into his basement and damaged a painting canvas.
There are no suspects at this time.
Tampering with Motor Vehicle
On August 23rd, 2004 at 7:35 pm, Dfc Naecker responded to the shoulder of the roadway of Md. Rt 4 in the area of Md. Rt 231 for a reported tampering with motor vehicle call. Investigation revealed unknown person(s) used a rock to break the right rear passengers side window. They gained entry to the car and then damaged the ignition switch and steering column. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
Theft
On August 24th, 2004 at 5:43 pm, Dfc Phelps responded to the 800 block of West Mt. Harmony Rd. Owings, Md. for a reported theft. The victim advised unknown person(s) remove her chainsaw from her driveway. The chainsaw was taken between August 21st, 2004 at August 23rd, 2004. There are no suspects at this time.
Disorderly Conduct
On August 24th, 2004 at 9:11 pm, Cpl. Moschetto responded to the ST. Leonard Faststop for a reported disorderly conduct. Cpl. Moschetto contacted the suspect and advised him leave the area and return. The suspect began to yell and use profanity. He was told numerous times to stop cursing and leave the area. He walked to the middle of the roadway and continued to yell profanities. Sherman Stepney 41 years old of St. Leonard was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Destruction of Property
On August 25th, 2004 at 10:02 am, Deputy Jones responded to the 500 block of Thunderbird Dr. Lusby, Md. for a reported destruction of property. Investigation revealed, unknown person(s) knocked a hole in the victim's roof. There are no suspects at this time.
Theft
On August 27th, 2004 at 11:22 am, Dfc. Foote responded to the 100 block of Dares Wharf Rd., Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported theft of an out board motor. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) removed a 2001 15 horsepower Johnson out board motor from the rear of the victim's duck boat. Investigation in this case will continue.
Theft
On August 26th, 2004 at 3:22 pm, Dfc Foote responded to the 2300 block of Sixes Rd., Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported theft. Investigation revealed the victim's purse was sitting on the floor near her desk. She noticed her purse was missing and contacted the Sheriff's Office. She said several people had been in her office throughout the day but she had no idea who may have taken the purse. Investigation in this case is continuing.
CDS Violation
On August 27th, 2004 at 1:37 am, Deputy Milam conducted a traffic stop on Fairground Rd. in the area of Silverwwod Ln., Prince Frederick, Md. Based on observations made at the scene the driver, Michael Mason, 41 years old of Prince Frederick, Md. was placed under arrest for driving while impaired. A search was conducted and suspected crack cocaine; Oxycontin pills and CDS paraphernalia were found on his person and in his vehicle. Mason was charged with DWI and Possession of CDS and Possession Of CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
CDS Violation
On August 28th, 2004 Sgt. B. McCourt was working stationary radar on Armory Rd. in Prince Frederick, Md. A vehicle entered the radar beam at 44 mph in a 30 mph zone. Sgt. McCourt conducted a traffic stop. He approached the car and observed a non-conventional smoking device containing suspected marijuana on the rear floorboard of the vehicle. The vehicle operator was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. She was identified at Pamela Dennis 18 years old of Chesapeake Beach, Md. She was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Theft
On August 29th, 2004 at 7:48 pm, Dfc. Foote responded to the 9000 block of Mary Ann Dr., Owings, Md. for a reported theft of a vehicle registration plate. Investigation reveled the front tag of the victim's Dodge truck was stolen. There are no suspects at this time.
