CDS Violation
On August 18th, 2004 at 10:00 am, Deputy Milam responded Trasker Blvd. and Md Rt. 4 in Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported CDS violation. Investigation revealed a passenger on a Calvert County Public Transportation bus was attempting to use CDS. Deputy Milam made contact with Mark Gray, 41 years old of Sunderland, Md. Gray was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and a non-conventional smoking devise. He was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
CDS Violation
On August 20th, 2004 at 11:27 pm, Dfc. Gregory conducted a traffic stop on Dares Beach Rd. and Clay Hammond Rd. Prince Frederick, Md. Based on observations made during the stop a search of the vehicle was conducted and a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana and a non-conventional smoking devise was located in the car. The operator; Elizabeth Archer, 19 years old of Huntingtown, Md. was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. She was taken to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
CDS Violation
On August 21st, 2004 at 11:43 pm, Dfc. Gregory was conducting a patrol check at the Super 8 Motel in Prince Frederick, Md. During the check of the Motel Dfc. Gregory detected the odor of burning marijuana coming from room 132. Dfc. Gregory entered the room and observed three suspects. A check of the room was conducted and a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana, a partially burnt hand rolled cigarette containing suspected marijuana, two containers of suspected methamphetamine, and two non-conventional smoking devises.
The suspects were taken in to custody and charged with Possession of CDS and Possession of CDS Paraphernalia. They were identified as, Alvin McClelland, 28 years old of Lexington, N.C., Dusty Hughs, 22 years old of Trinity, N.C., and Ricky Cecil, 39 years old of Thomasville, N.C. All three were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center.
Trespassing
On August 22nd, 2004 at 1:43 am, Dfc. Foote was in the area of Catamarans Restaurant. A Catamarans employee advised him that George Kennett 21 years old of Hollywood, Md. was not allowed back in the bar and wanted him off the property. Dfc. Foote advised Kennett to leave the area and not return. Kennett walked away only to return a short time later. Kennett was again told to leave but he refused. George Kennett was placed under arrest for trespassing and was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Sheriff's Office to receive a Bloodhound
On Monday August 23rd, 2004 at 3:00 pm, a bloodhound will be donated to the Calvert County Sheriff's Office. Members of the Sheriff's Office K-9 unit will receive the donation from 3181 Howard Rd. Port Republic, Md. The press is welcome to attend.
Automated Fingerprint System
On August 26th, 2004 at 2:00 pm, representatives of the Constellation Energy Group will present the Calvert County Sheriff's Office with an Automated Fingerprinting System. The presentation will be made at the Calvert County Sheriff's Office located at 30 Church St., Prince Frederick, Md.
