Off Duty Sheriff's Office Deputy Sgt. Daniel D. Alioto responded to a 911 call for a disorderly intoxicated subject at the Callaway Shopping Center. Upon arrival the Suspect, James Edward Nolan fled and was apprehended by Sgt. Alioto a short distance away. Suspect Nolan remained disorderly and it was found that he was escorted off the property a short time earlier by Lt. Timothy K. Cameron. Sgt. Alioto attempted to place the Suspect into custody and a struggle ensued. The Suspect was placed into custody and Sgt. Alioto received a laceration to his thumb and wrist as a result of the altercation. Suspect Nolan was charged with trespass, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. He was transported the Detention Center to await a hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
Sheriff's Office Deputy Sgt. Daniel D. Alioto observed a vehicle operating erratically on Great Mills Road and conducted a traffic stop. An odor of marijuana was detected and a search of the juvenile male operator revealed a quantity of marijuana valued at approximately $50.00. The 17 year old juvenile from Hollywood was processed and released to his parent to await a hearing in the juvenile court.
Sheriff's Office Deputies Richard W. Russell and Robert Stewart responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute in progress in the Dameron area. Upon arrival contact was made with both parties and the investigation revealed that the male half, Daniel Benson Dean II, had assaulted his live in girlfriend, Mandy Southard, leaving physical signs of injury. Suspect Dean was arrested without incident and charged with second degree assault.
Sheriff's Office Deputy Michael R. Worrey responded to a suspicious vehicle in the Chancellor's Run Regional Park. Upon arrival he located Roy Craig Brooks Jr. of Mechanicsville and Suspect Brooks was covered in mud as was his vehicle. The vehicle had been operated in a destructive manner and caused damage to the County owned property. The area is posted for trespassing and the Suspect was arrested and charged with Trespass and Property Destruction. He is currently incarcerated and is awaiting a hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
