David A. Foggo, Jr., is SMECO's Government Affairs Manager in the External Affairs Department. In his position, Foggo will act as SMECO's legislative representative in Annapolis. He will also work with the commissioners of Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's counties.
Foggo worked for Washington Gas for 30 years, 14 as Manager of Maryland Public Affairs; he was also a Community Representative for Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's, Prince George's, and Montgomery counties.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowie State University. Foggo and his wife, Helen, live in Edgewater. They have three sons: Brendan, Shaun, and Devin.
SMECO is a customer-owned electric cooperative providing electricity to over 134,000 services in southern Prince George's County, and in Charles County, St. Mary's County, and all but the northeast portion of Calvert County.
