Theft
On July 19th, 2004 at 4:54 pm., Deputy Gatton responded to Middleham Chapel in Lusby, Md. for a reported theft. Investigation revealed a Riding lawn mower was removed from the Parrish Hall property without permission. There are no suspects at this time.
Destruction of Property
On July 19th, 2004 at 7:51 pm., Deputy Gatton responded to the 600 Block Grenada Lane, Lusby, Md. for a reported Destruction of Property. Investigation revealed, unknown person(s) poured sugar into the victim's vehicle's gas tank. There are no suspects at this time.
Theft
On July 20th, 2004 Deputy Gatton responded to the 400 block of Bafford Road, Lusby, Md. for a reported theft of a puppy. The victim said he heard his pit bull barking and went to check on him. He saw observed the suspect running south on Bafford Road with the puppy under his arm. He observed the suspect enter a black Chrysler Sebring and drive away from the area. There are no suspects at this time.
Destruction of Property
On July 22nd, 2004 at 6:41 pm Dfc. Wilson responded to the 9000 block of Chesapeake Ave. North Beach, Md. for a reported Destruction of Property. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's boat and cut the line connecting the boat motor and oil container. There are no suspects at this time.
Theft
On July 23, 2004 at 5:09 pm, Dfc. Wilson conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of 6th, St. North Beach, Md. A computer check revealed the tags on the car were reported stolen from Anne Arundel County, Md. The vehicle operator, Darren South Sr., 38 years old of North Beach, Md., was issued a Criminal Citation for Theft and issued Traffic Citations for Driving while suspended, Driving an unregistered motor vehicle, and operating an uninsured vehicle. He was released at the scene.
CDS Violation
On July 23rd, 2004 at 6:10 pm, Cpl. Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on Main St. in the area of Church St., Prince Frederick, Md. Based on observations made during the stop a search of the vehicle was conducted. A small plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana was located in the car. The vehicle operator was identified as Colin Canine, 18 years old of Chesapeake Beach, Md. He was placed under arrest for possession of CDS and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
CDS Violation
On July 23rd, 2004 at 11:19 pm, Dfc. Wilson conducted a traffic stop at Dayton Ave and 2nd St. North Beach, Md. Based on observations made during the stop, the driver, James Knoche, 36 years old of North Beach, Md. was placed under arrest for DWI. A search of the vehicle revealed suspected marijuana and a non-conventional smoking devise. A search of the passenger revealed a non-conventional smoking devise and a baggie containing suspected marijuana. The passenger was identified as David Smith, 37 years old of North Beach, Md. Both Knoche and Smith were charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. They were transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Robbery
On July 25th, 2004 Dfc. Wilson responded to the area of 7th St. and Bay Ave. North Beach, Md. for a reported robbery. The victim was attempting to place an envelope containing US currency into a night drop box. The victim stated she was pushed to the ground and the envelope was taken. The suspect(s) were described as white males in their late teens. Anyone with information on this case should contact Sgt. M. Moore.
CDS Violation
On July 25, 2004 at 7:30 pm, Deputy Milam responded to the 100 block of West Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported CDS violation. He met with Cpl. Riley of Natural Resources Police. Cpl Riley advised he observed
[REDACTED; state dropped charges on 13-JUL-2005] attempt to seal a plastic baggie containing suspected marijuana. Deputy Milam made contact with
[REDACTED] and recovered the suspected marijuana. [REDACTED] was placed under arrest for Possession of CDS, he was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Stolen Motor Vehicle
On July 26th, 2004 at 12:56 am, Dfc. Foote responded to the 11000 block of Lexington Drive, Dunkirk, Md. for a reported theft of a motorcycle. The victim said his 2001 Honda CBR 600 was stolen from the parking lot of Thursdays Bar and Grill in North Beach, Md. He said he left it parked in the parking lot of Thursdays for several days. When he checked on the Motorcycle on July 25, 2004 the vehicle was missing. There are no suspects at this time.
Destruction of Property
On July 26th, 2004 at 6:30 am, Dfc. Foote responded to the 7000 block of Bluegrass Way, Owing, Md. for a reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) spray painted the victim's vehicle and home.
Burglary
On July 26, 2004 at 3:07 pm, Deputy Childress and Dfc. Elliott responded to the 2300 Block of Chesapeake Beach Road West, Dunkirk, Md. for a burglary alarm at a residence. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence. Investigation continuing.
Theft
On July 26th, 2004 at 5:30 pm, Deputy M. Jones responded to the 100 block of Calvert Towne Drive, Prince Frederick, Md. for a theft. Investigation revealed that during the nighttime of July 26th, 2004 an unknown suspect(s) removed the victim's purse from her vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
Burglary
On July 30th, 2004 at 3:00 pm, Dfc. Bomgardner responded to the 2400 block of Lower Marlboro Rd. Huntingtown, Md. for a reported burglary. The victim said when he returned home from work he found his home had been entered and several items had been stolen. The Criminal Investigation Team is investigating this case.
CDS Violation
On July 30th, 2004 at 6:30 pm, Cpl. Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on Md Rt 4 in the area of Saw Mill Rd., Lusby, Md. Based on observations made during the stop a search of the driver and the vehicle was conducted. Cpl. Moschetto located a plastic medication bottle containing suspected marijuana. The driver was identified as Harry Roland, 49 years old of Lusby, Md. Roland was placed under arrest for possession of CDS. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
Destruction of Property
On August 1st, 2004 at 1:20 am, Deputy Shrawder responded to the American Legion Post located on Sixes Road, Prince Frederick, Md. for a destruction of property. The suspect broke the windshield of the victim's vehicle and fled the scene. The suspect, Terrill Yates 22 years old of Lusby, Md. was located on Sixes Road by Deputy Ward and a traffic stop was conducted. Based on investigation at the scene of the Destruction of Property and investigation at the traffic stop. Yates was placed under arrest for DWI and Destruction of Property. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
CDS Violation
On August 7th, 2004 at 2:25 am, Cpl Moschetto conducted a traffic stop on Md Rt 4 in the area of Western Shores Blvd., Port Republic, Md. Based on observations made at the scene the driver, James Drury, 27 years old of Mechanicsville, Md. was placed under arrest for DWI. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic cylinder containing suspected marijuana and two non-conventional smoking devises. A throwing knife was located in the driver's side door pocket. Drury was charges with DWI, Possession of CDS, Possession of CDS Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Concealed Deadly Weapon. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.
