Inherit The Wind Draws Local VIPs


Nine local VIPs will be joining the nearly 50 member cast of Inherit the Wind, Port Tobacco Players' production of the powerful courtroom drama. Gwyneth J. Saunders, editor of the Southern Maryland Weekend, is a full-time member of the cast, and can be seen as Mrs. McLain from the local funeral home, who makes money by selling fans to beat the July heat. Other VIP's are appearing for one performance each. Delegate Sally Jameson and local business woman Nancy Gasparovic join the townspeople. Commissioner Al Smith, Delegate Lou Hennessy, Commissioner Danny Mayer, Clerk of Circuit Court Rick Day, Senator Mac Middleton and Commissioner Murray Levy will watch the proceedings from the jury box.

Inherit the Wind runs for six shows only: July 9 - 11 and July 16 - 18 at the Charles County Government Center in downtown La Plata, MD. $12 adults/$10 seniors and students. To reserve seats, call 301 932-6819.
