CHARLES COUNTY SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR MARYLAND’S 'MOST BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE' VOLUNTEER AWARDS
LA PLATA, MD – The Charles County Office of Tourism, in conjunction with the Charles County Commissioners, the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development and the Governor’s Office, is accepting nominations through August 13, 2003, for the 17th Annual Maryland’s "Most Beautiful People" Volunteer Awards Program.
These awards honor the unsung heroes who generously volunteer their time, energy and talents to help make Charles County a better place to live, work and visit.
All nominees will be publicly recognized by the County Commissioners at a special ceremony and reception to be held Tuesday, October 7, 2003, at 1:30 pm in the Commissioners’ Meeting Room at the Charles County Government Building in LaPlata. One nominee will be selected to represent the County at a statewide awards ceremony in Annapolis on Wednesday, November 12, 2003.
Nomination forms can be obtained at local public libraries, from the Charles County Office of Tourism in the County Government Building in La Plata or by visiting the County website at www.charlescounty.org.
All completed nomination forms should be sent to "Maryland You are Beautiful", Charles County Office of Tourism, PO Box 2150, LaPlata, MD 20646. Deadline for nominations is Wednesday, August 13, 2003. Nominees must be residents of Charles County.
