A community service organization made up of about fourteen organization including the Optimist Club, an American Legion Post, several churches and others. ACTS provides in-home medical equipment, at no charge, to residents of St. Mary's County. Health Partners is an organization dedicated to delivering quality healthcare to the uninsured and under-insured of Charles County by leveraging the skills and resources of the community. Health Partners was founded in 1992 by Sisters Michaeleen and Gladys Marie of the Sisters of Holy Cross. The clinic moved into the Old Waldorf School in 1996. Health Share is a non-profit program which identifies low income individuals and families who cannot afford medical care. We seek to provide health care at a very minimal cost to those who are eligible.
Health Share is a joint effort of local St. Mary's County Physicians, St. Mary's Hospital. St. Mary's County Health Department, and St. Mary's County Department of Social Services.

Many medical drug manufacturers offer programs to help low-income citizens obtain their prescription drugs at a reduced price. You can use RxAssist to search by drug name or company name in order to find more information about any available assistance programs. A simple registration is required.RxAssist was created by Volunteers in Health Care (VIH), a national resource center for safety net organizations. VIH operates out of the Brown University Center for Primary Care and Prevention, based at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, a Brown Medical School teaching and research facility located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
