Cardinal Hickey Academy (CHA) is a regional K-8th grade Catholic school nestled on the campus of Jesus the Good Shepherd Church, in northern Calvert County, Md. In providing a rigorous curriculum, CHA nurtures the whole child in an environment where each child can achieve academic and personal excellence. Pastors, administration, faculty, and parents create a solid partnership conducive to developing the students as learners, leaders, and people of faith and service. We also offer a Montessori Preschool for 3-4 years. This program is 5 days a week, full or half day. Before and Aftercare is available.

The Calverton School, Southern Maryland's Leader in College Preparatory Education, is an independent, college preparatory school accredited by the Association of Independent Maryland Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the Maryland State Department of Education. The school is located in rural Huntingtown, Maryland, in close proximity to Washington D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore. The school enrolls 415 students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Typical class size is fifteen to eighteen students, and the teacher-to-student ratio is one-to-ten.
