The Charles County Sanitary Landfill opened for operation in July 1994 and averages approximately 11,000 transactions per month. In addition to bulk trash disposal, other services available at the landfill include the volume based Tag-a-Bag Program, which encourages recycling (The more you recycle, the more money you save!), and free mulch.

Please note: Curbside trash service is currently contracted on an individual basis in Charles County; residents contact a refuse hauler of their choice. If you belong to a homeowners' association, trash service may be included in your fees.
