In Charles County residents contract on an individual basis for curbside service of household trash and bulk pick-up. Residents also have the option of disposing items in the county landfill or through the Tag-a-Bag program, a volume-based system for the disposal of household trash. For the Tag-a-Bag program, residents purchase tickets at various locations throughout the county. Each ticket enables you to dispose of one bag/container of household trash up to 32 gallons. Each bag/container exceeding 32 gallons require additional Tag-a-Bag tickets.
