Southern Maryland BMX, Inc. is a USABMX Sanctioned Bicycle Motocross track located within Chaptico Park. Operated solely by volunteers, the track has an extensive racing and practice schedule from mid-March through mid-November. SOMD BMX is one of four sanctioned tracks in Maryland. Information about our race and practice schedule can be found on our website. Bike clinics are held throughout the season by a USABMX certified coach. SOMD BMX is proud to have one of these coaches at our track. We offer full 12 month membership at the very low price of only $60.00 and offer multi-family discounts. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we have several fundraisers throughout the season and also have an annual awards banquet to celebrate the achievement of our riders.Riders are welcomed from all ages and abilities. We have a dedicated Strider track for kids age 5 and below. All other riders are grouped with kids of the same age and ability. It is great fun for all ages and one of the few sports that can be enjoyed by the entire family.
