In 1996, a group of horse enthusiasts joined together to form a riding club. They wanted to show that the Arabian horse can be used for many different activities, such as trail, endurance, hunter/jumper, dressage, parades, and carriage driving. Maryland Arabian Horse Association holds an occasional clinic in winter when it's too cold to ride, organized trailrides during warmer months at various state parks in Charles, St. Mary's, Prince Georges, and Calvert county. Your horse doesn't need to be an Arabian; Horseless members are also welcome! Members gather for the annual FunDay show, clinics, and sport horse/dressage shows, trailrides, trail maintenance volunteering, parades, picnics, and fundraisers for rescued horses.[ Last Updated: 31-Jan-2007 | Hits: 661 | Reader Comments Report Problem
