Learn the importance of sewing skills in early Maryland while practicing three basic stitches still used today. Participants will explore sewing traditions in colonial and Native cultures and create a take-home sewing sampler through hands-on instruction. Margaret Brent Gazebo. Ages 8–14. $20 / $15 members. Includes museum admission. One adult free. Program involves seated outdoor work using burlap, yarn, and blunt plastic needles. Takes place rain or shine and may move indoors if needed.
