Southern Maryland Bluegrass Concert Series: High Fidelity Performs The 50’s And 60’s Classic Era Of Music.

The Southern Maryland Bluegrass Concert Series continues into the new year with a highly anticipated performance by the High-Fidelity Bluegrass Band. This event marks the third concert of the season and will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Calvert Elks in Prince Frederick, located at 1015 Dares Beach Road. The concert is set to begin at 2:00 PM.
Paying tribute to the 1950s and 60s Bluegrass Era, High Fidelity is renowned for capturing the spirit and energy of Bluegrass music. Their dedication to this classic era sets them apart, as few contemporary bands draw such deep influence from this significant period in Bluegrass history. The band’s name, "High Fidelity," pays homage to the vintage albums from that time, many of which proudly bore those words.
The group features five talented musicians and singers committed to tradition. Jeremy Stephens, guitarist, and lead vocalist who also plays banjo, has performed with the world-famous gospel group The Chuck Wagon Gang, appeared on Ray Stevens’ Nashville television show, and recently worked with Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys. Corrina Rose Logston, fiddler and harmony vocalist, has collaborated with several modern traditional Bluegrass performers, including songwriter Jim Lauderdale. Kurt Stephenson handles banjo and harmony vocals, hailing from west Tennessee. Daniel Amick, a multi-instrumentalist and harmony vocalist, plays both guitar and mandolin and is the recipient of IBMA’s 2019 Instrumentalist of the Year Momentum Award.
For fans of traditional ‘real deal’ Bluegrass, High Fidelity offers an authentic experience reminiscent of first-generation artists such as Don Reno & Red Smiley, The Stanley Brothers, The Louvin Brothers, and Jim & Jesse. Drawing inspiration from these and many other legends of the era, High Fidelity delivers a pure, clean sound and has been compared to the new Johnson Mountain Boys. Following their previous well-received performance at this venue, the band returns by popular demand.
Now in its fourth year as Southern Maryland’s premier Bluegrass venue, the series will continue to host leading artists. Upcoming acts include The Kody Norris Show on February 1, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys on February 15, The Country Gentlemen Show featuring Calvert County’s Mike Phipps on March 22, and Special Consensus closing out the season on April 19.
Tickets for each concert are $23.00 per person, sold at the door but available for advance purchase. For more information, visit www.somdbluegrass.com or call 301-737-3004.
