For 70 years, a legend of a half-man, half goat creature lurking in the woods of Greenbelt has thrilled park visitors! Similar cryptids (mysterious creatures) stalk forests and fields across the county, but our local Goatman is the most infamous. Beware, for the bleat of a goat can sometimes be heard in the night, just beyond the flickering of the light of the campfire, and the creature has been known to haunt these talks! The Goatman Lives!
The Campfire Program will be held at the Campfire Circle in Loop B and is free to the public. Please follow the signage upon arrival to the park, and you will park in the campground.
