The Department of Aging & Human Services presents this year’s Keys to Senior Independence Series. Do you know how to access Medicare, Medicaid, or other programs and services? Do you have questions about Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia? Do you want to learn about St. Mary’s County Legal Aid, how to avoid scams and reduce debt? Learn about all that and more during the four workshops.
Keys to Senior Independence will be held on Mondays, March 17-April 7, from 6-9 p.m., in Building C-Room 206 at the College of Southern Maryland in Leonardtown, MD.
This year’s presentation topics are:
Monday, March 17—Rethinking Aging & Financial Planning Stereotypes and dated expectations about aging can negatively impact older adults and communities. Older adults’ well-being is central to our mission. Our programs, ranging from nutrition services and health promotion to elder advocacy and caregiver support, help older adults in St. Mary’s County maintain their health and independence as they age. Join us to learn about programs offered through the Department of Aging & Human Services! Additionally, a representative from PNC Bank will talk about how to make the most of your money as you age.
