The Silver Companions is a social group for seniors. Come join us to meet new people, make new friends, and catch up with old friends in a safe comfortable environment. A typical meeting includes social time, getting to know each other, discussing upcoming events, and making plans for small groups to meet at events, theaters, and other activities. Meetings are followed by dining out for those who are interested. The group will meet at the Garvey Senior Activity Center from 5 to 7 pm on the first and third Thursday of each month. Silver Companion members must be 50 or older and follow the guidelines set forth by the Garvey Senior Activity Center. There is no cost for joining this group. However, each participant must register with the Department of Aging. Registration forms can be picked up at the front desk. Each member is asked to be respectful and courteous.
