The groceries arrive in a refrigerated trailer from distribution centers and major grocery stores throughout the area. Some items are over-stocked; some have “sell by dates” too close to put on grocery shelves; some are name-brand products and some are not.
We never know ahead of time what we are getting, but expect anything that could be found in a grocery store such as candies, snacks, sodas, frozen meats, frozen vegetables, frozen pizza, can goods, dry goods, cleaning supplies, dairy products, or just about anything else in between.
Auctions of this type will have a lot of “pass outs.” This means that the large the crowd, the better because the distributor can move more product and at a better price. So pass the word to your neighbors and friends.
Items will be offered and available in small lots and/or large lots—buy as little or as much as you like. Buy for yourself, a large family, or your next gathering or party. There will be some great deals!
Be sure to bring your cooler! Better yet, bring several coolers!
Payment will be cash, check, or credit cards. Ten percent buyer’s premium
School cafeteria will be serving concessions.
We expect the auction to run about 3 ½—4 hours so save money, spend time with friends and family, have fun and get some great deals!
For more information, please contact: MCA—301-884-3165 or Ronnie Farrell—301-904-3402

“She Loves Me” is considered by many to be the most charming musical ever written, a warm romantic comedy with an endearing innocence and a touch of old-world elegance. Georg works at a modest Hungarian parfumerie and spends his free time pouring out his heart in anonymous letters to “Dear Friend,” the love of his life. Amalia gets a job at the shop and its immediately clear how much they hate each other. It’s also immediately clear—to the audience—that Amalia is Georg’s “Dear Friend.” What will it take for Georg to realize that she loves him and for Amalia to realize that there’s something about a man who won’t help her find her “Other Shoe” when he brings her “Vanilla Ice Cream”!? The play will be presented at the Three Notch Theatre, 21744 South Coral Drive, LexingtonPark, MD 20653. All tickets are $13 general admission. All tickets may be purchased online at www.newtowneplayers.org, or by calling 301-737-5447.
