On Sunday, Oct 4, the K of C will provide breakfast carryout @ $5.00 per person, $20.00 max per family from 7:45 till 11:30 (masses are @ 7 & 10) . Donations encouraged.

The meal will consist of the following: scrambled eggs, hash browns, two sausages, two bacons, three pancakes.

Similar to previous parish meals, customers should drive up to the school door where you order & pay, then pull ahead to the corner door for distribution from rolling prepackaged on the table.

Since the profits will be split evenly among CCD, St John's School and the Charitable Society, please consider adding a donation.

Friends of Cedar Lane Board Announces “The Big Raffle” featuring $12,000 in total cash prizes.

Just 400 tickets will be sold for this fundraiser, with proceeds benefitting the residents of Cedar Lane Senior Living Community.

“The Big Raffle” is a six-week fundraiser in which anyone age 18 or older can enter to win up to $12,000 in total cash prizes including a grand prize of $10,000. The event is conducted by Friends of Cedar Lane, the fundraising affiliate of Cedar Lane Senior Living Community. Proceeds from ticket sales will be used to benefit Cedar Lane’s 196 residents.

Tickets are $100 each and only 400 will be sold. With six cash prize drawings, chances of winning are 1 in 66. Each week, the winning ticket is returned to the drum for a chance to be selected again. Winners need not be present to win. All winners will be notified. Each raffle ticket offers the chance to win one or more of these cash prizes:

The funds generated by The Big Raffle will be used to spread smiles and cheer through a variety of services and programs. We hope our Maryland community will take advantage of the opportunity to win some amazing cash prizes, while also supporting our seniors,” said Sheri Norris, chairperson for the Friends of Cedar Lane board.

Every year in Maryland thousands of deerskins are thrown away. With a little knowledge and a lot of elbow grease these deerskins can be transformed into supple buckskins. During this workshop you will learn how Native Americans made buckskin and get a hands-on chance to use both native and modern tools. Each participant will create their own soft and supple buckskin to take home. This workshop is suitable for participants 15 and older.

Six Flags America is leading the way and providing a safe environment for the All- New HALLOWFEST, presented by Snickers®. The event experience begins October 3 and runs weekends through November 1 from 1-9 p.m., so make your reservations now as slots are expected to fill up quickly!

Thrills by Day
We’re pumpkin spicing things up in the park with your little masked witches and goblins in mind! During the day, HALLOWFEST will be complete with fall family favorite activities such as kid-centric haybale mazes, Halloween shows, themed attractions and back by popular demand, our Trick-or-Treat Trail!

Chills by Night
Daredevils during HALLOWFEST can put their fears to the test by riding coasters in total darkness, while scaring up an appetite for tasty hallow-treats along the way. Creepy fog, eerie lighting, and sinister music will create the perfect backdrop for nighttime scares and chills. Thrill-seekers can also enjoy WONDER WOMAN Lasso of Truth and Firebird in total darkness.

At HALLOWFEST, the fright factor will be reimagined with added safety precautions to reduce the spreading of both human and zombie germs. All guests will be required to make a reservation to properly maintain social distancing.

- All team members (including scareactors) and guests 3 years and up will be required to wear masks covering the nose and mouth while in the parks.
- No indoor mazes, haunted houses, or indoor shows will be operated.
- A limited number of nighttime scareactors will remain at least six feet away from guests and each other.
- Guests viewing outdoor entertainment will be separated by at least six feet.
- Props, rides, restraints, handrails, and dining and restroom facilities will be cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Multiple hand-washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations will be located throughout the parks for guest and team member usage.
