   Maryland Day at St. Clement's Island Museum

Celebrate the founding of Maryland at the state’s birthplace at St. Clement’s Island Museum with a ceremony (2PM—3PM) featuring guest speakers and program.

The museum and water taxi will be operating for visitors prior to and after the ceremony, 10AM-5PM. The event commemorates the first landing of the colonists on St. Clement’s Island—a significant part of the island’s, St. Mary’s County’s and the State of Maryland’s story.

The help celebrate this momentous day in Maryland history, the museum will be hosting award-winning local author Amy Schisler, who will be signing her new book "The Devil's Fortune" (amyschislerauthor.com/the-devils-fortune/) from 12 PM—4PM in the museum building.
