100 Mile Car Cruise & Show—(Rescheduled from May 29) October 2, 2021 All vehicles invited, from classics to imports, trucks, motorcycles and more. 100 mile Cruise through three Southern Maryland Counties begins at 9:00 am at the Charlotte Hall Park & Ride (30030 Three Notch Rd. Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, behind Burger King) and arrival at the last stop is estimated to be 2:30 pm at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.

Registration begins at 7:30 am. Maps and route info will be provided upon arrival. Optional Poker Run available for an additional $10.00 per entry—50% of proceeds go to charity, 30% to winning hand, and 10% each to the next two highest hands. 50-50 raffle tickets available all day, must be at the last stop to win. Registration Fee is $30.00 per Vehicle, (pre-registration deadline September 22) which includes a free Cruisin’ Southern Maryland Event T-Shirt for the first 150 vehicles registered. "Art In The Park Fun-Run" will traverse the beautiful natural surroundings of Smallwood State Park which is situated on the Mattawoman Creek. The walk/run course is open to all ages, strollers are permitted but no pets please. The course is on mainly paved surfaces and will include a footbridge that crosses the wetlands. There is no chip timing with this race. 100% of the race profits go to support the Mattawoman Creek Art Center (501 C3 non-profit) and the many community programs they offer. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the Autumn weather, explore nature, and appreciate beautiful works of art in the gallery. Visit one of the nation's best-preserved one-room African American schoolhouses one Saturday of each month. Check out the renovated schoolhouse and learn about its rich history and importance to education in St. Mary's County. Staff will be available at the school during this time to answer any questions and provide information.

The Museum Division also offers special programs for school, bus and other tour groups who would like to visit the site. Visitors who would like to see the schoolhouse outside open house hours can contact Piney Point to arrange a visit at 301-994-1471.

At the orientation, volunteers will learn our specific feed shift routine, how to groom a horse as well as the importance of safety and awareness when working around horses.
