How to get a Marriage License in Southern Maryland

So, you've decided to tie the knot and now you need to know how to get married in the state of Maryland? To get you license you'll need to visit the local County Clerk's Office. You'll also have to know the following things:

There is a fee ranging from $25-$55, depending on the County. Bring cash, that's all they will accept.
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Individuals under the age of 18 may marry if they meet certain requirements. Individuals under the age of 15 may not marry.
You do not have to have a blood test to get a license.
The license expires in 6 months. If it expires and you never got married, you can apply for a new license.
Once you receive the license, you must wait a minimum of two days before you can actually get married.
There is no waiting period to receive your license after you apply for it.
