Mary Ruth "Ruthie" Delozier, 63, of Loveville, MD died January 29, 2008 in St. Mary's Hospital. Born October 1, 1944 in Leonardtown, MD she was the daughter of the late Joseph Alton and Rita Louise Vallandingham Bailey.

She is survived by her ex-husband John Wayne Delozier, Sr.; children, J. Wayne Delozier, Jr., of Leonardtown, MD, Bryan A. Delozier of Ridge, MD and M. Dawn Delozier of Loveville, MD; siblings, Karen Rogers of Baltimore, MD, Joseph A. Bailey and Bridgett Abell both of Loveville, MD; grandchildren, Ashley Mattingly of Lexington Park, MD, Amber Delozier of OK, Shyann Delozier of Hollywood, MD (children of J. Wayne Delozier) and Sebastian Yotko of Hollywood, MD (son of M. Dawn Delozier).

A lifelong resident of St. Mary's County, Ruthie graduated from St. Mary's Academy, Leonardtown, MD "Class of 1963." She was a school bus driver for Mother Catherine Spalding School and the Mennonite Community as well as an STS driver. She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, hunting, cookouts, her doggies, laughing and spending time with her family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown, MD where prayers will be said at 3:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Keith Woods officiating. Interment will be private.
