It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dorothy Marie Ham, 94, of Leonardtown, MD, who passed away peacefully at her home on February 3, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 25, 1931 in Hollywood, MD, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Brown and Emma (Hill) Brown.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late James W. Ham. Together, they raised two children: their cherished daughter, Cheryl Wilson (deceased) and devoted son, James E. Ham (Frank Riley). Dorothy was a proud grandmother to Shawn Curtis (John) and Chris Wilson. Her legacy lives on in her great-grandchildren, Matthew Wilson (Crystal), Cheryl Wilson, Brandon Curtis (Courtney), and Kaylyn Curtis (fiancée Tony Hodges), as well as her great-great-grandchildren, Troy Jones, Matthew Wilson, Jr., Hunter Wilson, Elaina O'Connor, Rodarik O'Connor, Elissa O'Connor, and Jace Hodges. Dorothy is also survived by her brothers, Charlie Brown and Francis Brown, and her sister, Shirley Combs, who cherished her deeply.

Dorothy's unwavering commitment to her family, her kind heart, and her ability to make any space feel like a home will be cherished forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and warmth and will be deeply missed by all who know her.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service conducted by Rev. Bill Miller following at 11:00 a.m. at Rausch Funeral Home, 20 American Lane, Lusby, MD. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.
