Lois Good Campbell, 72, of Huntingtown, Maryland, passed away at her home, on July 28, 2024. She was born on December 29, 1951, in Madison, Indiana to Graham R. Good, Sr. and Martha Lee Gregory Good.

Lois spent her early days working on the family farm in Henry County, Kentucky, with her sister and two brothers. She told many, many, stories over the years about their antics on that farm. Her simple upbringing provided her with a solid foundation for hard work, and an appreciation of the simple things in life. Namely, some good food in your belly, and a nice, warm bed to sleep in. Everything else was just a bonus.

Lois graduated from Henry County High School in 1969 and soon enrolled at Sullivan Business College. It was there that she was provided with the opportunity to move to Washington, D.C. to work for the Department of the Navy. That move was the beginning of a long and successful secretarial career, which included employment at several prestigious law firms in the city, The House of Representatives, and the U.S. Senate.

Lois ended her professional journey in November 2011 to stay home and care for her twin granddaughters, Avery and Finley. She taught them about the important things in life, such as jumping in muddy puddles, climbing trees, collecting bugs, sticks, and leaves in the backyard, and most importantly, how to find a good deal. Our "Lolo" loved a bargain.

Lois loved the ocean. In 2002, she purchased her little "yellow cottage" in Ocean City, Maryland. This was her favorite place on earth. She loved shopping for bargains, going to thrift shops, watching people on the boardwalk, and decorating and redecorating her little home away from home.

Lois' greatest passion in recent years was her ancestry. She spent hours and hours researching her family history and was proud to tell anyone who would listen that her family was related to just about every famous person, living or dead. In death, she is living the ultimate ancestry experience, meeting, and very likely interviewing, the relatives that she so diligently researched.
Lois was preceded in death by her mother and father, Graham R. Good, Sr. and Martha Lee Gregory Good, and her brothers, Graham R. Good, Jr. and Robert J. Good. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert L. Campbell, Jr., her daughters, Jessica King (Wes), Stephanie Campbell (Andrew), her sister, Fran Mattingly, and her beloved granddaughters, Avery and Finley King.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Hospice of the Chesapeake. They provided such comfort to Lois and her family in her final days.
