Charlotte Ann Faunce Cox, (Cissy), 64, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at MedStar St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown, MD. She was the second child born to Helen C. Faunce and the late, John B. Faunce on January 6, 1957 at St. Mary's Hospital.

Cissy grew up on Cremona Farm and had wonderful childhood memories with her siblings that she often looked back on. Friends and relatives would visit and crab feast were guaranteed every weekend in the summer. Cissy graduated from Chopticon High School and went to work for the Department of Education and worked as an Administrative Assistant and then a Legal Secretary for most of her career. She met many kind and wonderful people who became her lifelong friends.

Cissy's greatest joy came from being a mother to her son, Ronnie. The two were close and she cherished every moment spent with him. Nothing compared to the happiness she felt when surrounded by her family and friends. She was known for her thoughtful and giving ways and always knew how to make you feel special. Cissy loved to spoil Ronnie and her nieces and nephews; as well as her beloved yellow Lab, Buddy. We will miss her beauty, her signature shade of lipstick, her sense of humor and laughter, her hugs and most of all her strong love for family.

Cissy is survived by her son, Ronald N. Cox, Jr. of Mechanicsville, MD; mother, Helen C. Faunce of Mechanicsville, MD; and siblings, John Faunce (Lisa) of Clements, MD; J.R. Faunce (Tami) of Mechanicsville, MD and Wendy Norris (Billy) of Mechanicsville, MD. She was preceded in death by her father, John B. Faunce.

Pallbearers are her nephews and cousins: John Faunce, Jr., Bobby Norris, Tyler Faunce, David Downs, Ray Downs and Jimmy Johnson.
