18 Year-old Woman Shot, Killed in Upper Marlboro


UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (OCt. 19, 2016)—Police are conducting an investigation into the fatal shooting of a woman in Upper Marlboro early this morning. She is 18-year-old Allyssa Banks of Prince Place in Upper Marlboro.

On October 19th, at about 1:45 am, officers were called to the 10200 block of Prince Place for a shooting. When they arrived, they found Banks suffering from gunshot wounds. She died at the hospital. A man was also shot during this incident and taken to the hospital. Preliminarily, his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances leading up to the fatal shooting. Banks and the male victim knew each other.
