19-Year-old Waldorf Man Killed After His Motorcycle Collides with Car

Police determined that the car pulled into the motorcycle's lane of travel

LA PLATA, Md. (Aug. 1, 2016)—The Md. State Police report that Aaron Thompson, 19, of Waldorf, died at the scene of a crash involving his motorcycle and a car Saturday morning. The crash occurred at Maryland Route 301 in the area of Central Avenue in Waldorf around 11:35 a.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a Hyundai Elantra operated by Brittoney Green, 22, of Port Orange, Florida, was traveling across northbound Route 301 from Central Avenue and a Suzuki GSXR600 motorcycle operated by Thompson was traveling northbound on Route 301 in lane one (far left lane). The Hyundai traveled in the path of the Suzuki and was subsequently struck by the motorcycle.

Thompson was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics at approximately 11:41 a.m.

The initial on-scene investigation was conducted by troopers from the La Plata Barrack, with assistance from members from the MSP Southern Region Crash Unit.
