Motorcycle Crash in Accokeek Claims Life of Fort Washington Man


ACCOKEEK, Md. (July 22, 2016)—The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in Accokeek. The victim is 28-year-old Victor Mason, Jr. of Pats Place in Fort Washington.

On Thursday, July 21, at about 8:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the 15600 block of Indian Head Highway for a crash involving a motorcycle. When they arrived, the officers found Mason suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.

The preliminary investigation reveals Mason was traveling northbound on Indian Head Highway when, for reasons which remain under investigation, he lost control of his motorcycle and struck the guardrail.
