LA PLATA, Md. (Feb. 3, 2016)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WHEEL THEFT: Sometime between 11 p.m. on February 2 and 2:07 a.m. on February 3, wheels were stolen off of a vehicle at a car dealership in the 2400 block of Crain Highway in Waldorf. Officer G. Cook is investigating.

FIRST DEGREE ASSAULT: On February 1 at 6:53 p.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Lewisham Place in Waldorf for the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers interviewed the victim who stated that a relative stabbed him in the lower back with a knife during an argument and subsequently fled. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Officers identified the suspect as Curtis Wayne Duff, 22, of Waldorf, and investigators assigned to the Warrant Unit are trying to locate him. ATTEMPTED CARJACKING: On January 31 at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded to the 11000 block of Scotch Hills Place in Waldorf for the report of an attempted carjacking. An investigation revealed that the victim had exited her vehicle to get her mail, and when she returned there was an unknown male sitting in the driver's seat. The suspect assaulted the victim, took her keys, and attempted to leave in the vehicle. When a struggle ensued, the suspect fled the area on foot. The suspect is described as a black male in his teens, approximately 5'8" to 5'10" in height and weighing 160 pounds, wearing dark clothing. Officer S. Hillman is investigating.

STOLEN ATV RECOVERED/TWO SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED: On December 21, 2015, officers responded to a business in the 4700 block of Crain Highway in White Plains for the report of a possible stolen motor vehicle. An investigation revealed that a 2015 Kawasaki Teryx4, which had been reported stolen from Colonial Beach, Virginia on December 16, 2015, was brought in for repairs. Detectives identified Tyrone Maxwell Turner and Dwayne Alonzo Proctor, the two men who brought in the ATV, as suspects in the theft. On January 29, Turner, 34 of Indian Head, was arrested and charged with felony motor vehicle taking and theft 10K to under 100K. Proctor has not been located. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Detective D. Savoy at (301) 609-6581.
