Local Navy Contract Awards

WASHINGTON (Dec. 31, 2015)—The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced the following contract awards that pertain to local Navy activities.

L-3 Communications Vertex Aerospace LLC, Madison, Mississippi, is being awarded a $25,493,729 modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery requirements contract (N00019-13-D-0007) for logistics and depot level services for TH-57 aircraft in support of the Naval Air Training Command's Undergraduate Helicopter Pilot Training Program. This modification provides for increased aircraft availability to respond to pilot training requirements. Work will be performed at the Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Milton, Florida, and is expected to be completed in May 2016. No funds are being obligated at time of award. Funds will be obligated against individual delivery orders as they are issued. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

The Boeing Co., Seattle, Washington, is being awarded an $11,900,667 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-firm target contract (N00019-12-C-0112) for procurement and installation of additional fiber optics wiring and fiber connector savers in 16 P-8A aircraft. Work will be performed in Seattle, Washington (61.8 percent); Glendale, California (35.7 percent); and various other locations inside the United States (2.5 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2017. Fiscal 2014 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $11,900,667 will be obligated at time of award, all of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. Northrop Grumman Systems Corp., Military Aircraft Systems, Melbourne, Florida, is being awarded a $285,975,244 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive (firm target) contract (N00019-13-C-9999) for non-recurring engineering and recurring efforts to support the production and delivery of one E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircraft for the government of Japan under the Foreign Military Sales program. Work will be performed in Melbourne, Florida (81 percent); St. Augustine, Florida (10 percent); Herndon, Virginia (6 percent); and various locations within the U.S. (3 percent), and is expected to be completed in September 2019. Foreign military sales funds in the amount of $285,975,244 are being obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

General Electric Co., Lynn, Massachusetts, is being awarded a $121,208,610 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00019-11-C-0045) for the procurement of 30 F414-GE-400 install engines and associated devices, and three spare engines for the F/A-18 aircraft. Work will be performed in Lynn, Massachusetts (59 percent); Hooksett, New Hampshire (18 percent); Rutland, Vermont (12 percent); and Madisonville, Kentucky (11 percent), and is expected to be completed in May 2017. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $121,208,610 will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

Raytheon Co., El Segundo, California, is being awarded $7,748,362 for cost-plus-incentive fee order 0002 against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-15-G-0003) to procure 12 AN/APG-79 Active Electronically Scanned Array Configuration D kits to meet radio detection and ranging requirements in support of the F/A-18 E/F aircraft. Work will be performed in Forest, Mississippi (42 percent); El Segundo, California (32 percent); and Andover, Massachusetts (26 percent), and is expected to be completed in April 2017. Fiscal 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $7,748,362 will be obligated on this award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
