St. Mary's Co. Sheriff's Reports


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 26, 2013)—The St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office today released the following incident and arrest reports.

SHOPLIFTING: On November 22, Corporal Kirkner responded to the Walmart in California for a reported theft. Loss prevention personnel observed two suspects select items of merchandise and exit the store without paying. David Henry Martin, Jr., 45, of Owings, had left the store with a children's rocker valued at $35.00. Kimberly Marie Miller, 24, also of Owings, left the store with several pairs of coveralls valued at almost $400.00. Both had outstanding arrest warrants from Calvert County for theft. Martin and Miller were placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. Martin was charged with Theft Under $100.00 and Theft Under $1,000.00. Miller was charged with Theft Under $1,000.00. Both Calvert County warrants were served.

HOME BURGLARY: On November 22, Corporal Maletto responded to a residence in the area of Knott's Drive in Callaway for the report of a burglary just occurred. The victim alleged he woke up to find a female in his bedroom going through the pockets of his clothing. He confronted the female and escorted her out of the residence then called 911. The victim provided a description of the female and she was located a short distance away. Ashley Nicole Thomas, 26, of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, was placed under arrest. Further investigation revealed Thomas had made entry into the basement of the residence by pushing in an air conditioning unit. Thomas was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with 4th Degree Burglary.

SHOPLIFTING: On November 22, Deputy Pontorno responded to the Walmart in California for a reported theft. Jessie Marie Russell, 29, of Hollywood, purchased several items utilizing the self-checkout lane. She placed several additional items in the bad without paying for them and left the store. The value of the items was over $125.00. Russell was charged with Theft Under $1,000.00 via Criminal Citation.

SHOPLIFTING, ASSAULT: On November 22, Corporal Connelly responded to the Belk Department Store for a reported theft. Store employees observed a suspect select several items of merchandise and enter a fitting room. The suspect exited the fitting room without the items and attempted to leave the store. The suspect attempted to push past a store employee with her shoulder when she was stopped. Corporal Connelly arrived on the scene and the investigation revealed the suspect, identified as Stacey Antoinette Liverpool, 40, of Lexington Park, was either wearing some of the stolen items or had concealed them in her handbag. The value of the stolen items was over $350.00. Liverpool was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was charged with Theft Under $1,000.00 and 2nd Degree Assault.

MAKING A RUCKUS IN WALMART: On November 23, Corporal Kirkner responded to the Walmart in California for a disturbance. Aaron Jamaal Hudson, 19, of Lexington Park, was inside the store causing a loud disturbance and had been asked to leave by Loss prevention personnel. Corporal Kirkner asked Hudson to leave several times and he refused. Hudson was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was charged with Trespass: Private Property.

ASSAULT AT HOSPITAL: On November 25, Deputy Lawrence responded to MEDSTAR St. Mary's Hospital in Leonardtown for an assault. The victim alleged suspect Spencer James Goedecke, 21, of Mechanicsville, assaulted the victim with his fists during an argument the day before. Deputy Lawrence observed fresh evidence of injury on the victim. Goedecke was located and placed under arrest. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged with 2nd Degree Assault.
