MSP Reports for St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Nov. 5, 2013)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

CDS ARREST: On Friday, October 25, 2013 at 4:47 pm, TFC E. Evans initiated a traffic stop on Hermanville Road at Dixon Court for a minor traffic infraction. TFC Evans detected an odor of marijuana emitting from within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of CDS. Matthew Collier Clodfelter, 22, of Hughesville was arrested and transported to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. Mr. Clodfelter was charged accordingly and released.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, October 28, 2013 at 5:05 am, Tpr E. Krenik served a Bench Warrant (T3-16176) on Lee Kitwell Clark, Jr., 27, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving on Suspended License on September 20, 2013. Mr. Clark turned himself in to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and is held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, October 28, 2013 at 5:34 pm, Tpr D. Buckalew served a Bench Warrant (T3-16214) on John Vincent Clarke, 59, of Coltons Point. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving on Suspended License on October 16, 2013. Mr. Clarke turned himself in to the Maryland State Police, Leonardtown Barrack. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and is held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 12:35 pm, TFC E. Reuschling served a Bench Warrant (T3-15940) on Charles Clayton Beach, 37, of Brandywine. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Theft $500 Plus Value on April 2, 2013. Mr. Beach was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and is held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 9:45 pm, TFC J. Hardesty served a Bench Warrant (T-16213) on Joseph L. Welch, 22, of Charlotte Hall. The warrant was issued by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Burglary First Degree on October 11, 2013. Mr. Welch was located in Mechanicsville, MD. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 10:17 am, TFC J. Gibson served a bench warrant (T-16217) on John Gabriel Middleton, 35, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving on Suspended License on October 16, 2013. Mr. Middleton was located in Leonardtown, MD. He was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
