MSP Reports for Calvert Co.


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 28, 2013)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT: On 8/21/2013 at 11:08 am, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 3800 block of Harrison Lane in Huntingtown for a reported theft. Unknown suspect(s) entered the residence and removed currency and an oak case. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF DRUGS: On 8/21/2013 at 11:11 am, Trooper Costello stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Sixes Rd at Adelina Rd. in Prince Frederick. An odor of marijuana was emitting from the inside of the vehicle. A search revealed that the driver was in possession of Marijuana, prescription medication, and drug paraphernalia. Robert E. Boyd 2nd, 30 of Prince Frederick, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On 8/21/2013 at 4:12 pm, Trooper First Class Merkelson stopped a vehicle for a missing front tag at 7600 Investment Ct. in Owings. The driver, Richard W. Horn Jr., 29 of Shadyside, MD, was arrested for driving on a suspended license. The tag on the rear of the vehicle had been stolen. Horn was charged for the theft and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

BURGLARY: On 8/22/2013 at 4:33 pm, Trooper Matthews responded to the 400 block of Delaware Dr. in Lusby for a reported burglary. Erik G. Odell, 47 of Lusby, broke into the victim's garage and removed electrical wire and copper piping from the residence. Charges are pending.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 8/24/2013 at 2:00 pm, Corporal Stern responded to the 3000 block of Blackberry Lane in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim's unlocked vehicle and removed a Blue IPOD. Investigation continues.

DUI, POSSESSION OF SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA: On 8/25/2013 at 11:36 pm, Trooper First Class Saucerman stopped a vehicle at Rt. 4 and Market Square in Prince Frederick. The driver, Terrance P. Posey, 32 of Washington, DC, was arrested for DUI and a search revealed the he was in possession of synthetic marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On 8/26/2013 at 2:39 pm, Trooper First Wiesemann responded to 11400 HG Trueman Rd. in Lusby for a reported theft. Unknown suspect(s) removed items of jewelry and cash from the victim's dresser. Investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 8/27/2013 at 6:52 am, Corporal Stern responded to the 4800 block of Wades Way in Port Republic for a malicious destruction of property complaint. Frank W. Harbin, 48 of Port Republic, placed nails under the victim's vehicle tires and scratched the vehicle. Charges are pending.

Tre S. Ricchiuto, 18, of Huntingtown, arrested on 08/25/2013 @ 04:01 am by TPR. K. Rowe

Terrance P. Posey, 32, of Washington, DC, arrested on 08/25/2013 @ 11:35 pm by TFC D. Saucerman
