Drug Arrests in St. Mary's Co.


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 27, 2013)—The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Narcotics Division released the following incident and arrest reports. The Division is an investigative team comprised of detectives from the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police Drug Enforcement Division, and Federal Drug Agents (HIDTA Group 34). The Division was established on September 1st, 2007 and is based in St. Mary’s County.

COCAINE: Vice/Narcotics detectives identified Sherman Devon Bush, 40, of Lexington Park, as one of several subjects distributing cocaine throughout St. Mary's County. Suspect Bush was indicted after undercover purchases of cocaine were made through him and others in the distribution network. Suspect Bush was arrested and charged with two separate counts of Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine. He was originally held without bail.

COCAINE: Vice/Narcotics detectives identified Damarcus Antoin Spears, 33, of Hollywood, as a distributor of cocaine. Several undercover purchases of cocaine were conducted and Suspect Spears was indicted by a St. Mary's County Grand Jury. The arrest warrants charged several counts of Distribution of Cocaine and Conspiracy to Distribute Cocaine. Suspect Spears was originally held without bond.
