MSP Reports for Calvert Co.


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (June 27, 2013)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 6/10/2013 at 1:52 pm, Trooper Oles responded to the 11600 block of Tomahawk Trail in Lusby for a report of a destruction of property. An air conditioning unit was damaged. Investigation continues.

BURGLARY: On 6/10/2013 at 10:45 pm, Trooper First Class Casarella responded to the 1300 block of Pushaw Station Rd. in Sunderland for a reported burglary. Cordell Tyrone Sollers, 27 of Lusby entered the residence through an unlocked rear door and removed numerous food items, clothes and other miscellaneous items. Charges are pending.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 6/12/2013 at 4:13 pm, Sergeant Roach received a theft from a vehicle complaint. The victim advised that the rear Maryland registration tag CFW955 had been removed from their vehicle. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 6/18/2013 at 10:51 pm, Trooper Follin stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Prince Frederick Blvd. in Prince Frederick. A search of the vehicle revealed cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The driver, Kyle S. Fink, 21 of Leonardtown, was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 6/19/2013 at 4:25 pm, Trooper Oles responded to the 700 block of Miriam Lane in Lusby for a reported destruction of property. A vehicle's tires were punctured. Investigation continues.

FUGITIVE FROM VA AND POSSESSION OF SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA: On 6/19/2013 at 11:13 am, Trooper Matthews arrested Marquis L. Wright, 22 of Severn, on an open arrest warrant for violation of probation. A search revealed that he was in possession of synthetic marijuana and he was also found to have a warrant in Virginia. He was charged with possession of synthetic Marijuana and as a fugitive from VA. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT FROM VEHICLES: On 6/19/2013 at 3:50 pm, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 3300 block of Lyons Creek Rd. in Dunkirk for a reported theft from three vehicles. Three unlocked vehicles were entered and change was stolen. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF COCAINE, K2 SPICE, & CDS PARAPHERNALIA: On 6/21/2013 at 9:15 am, Trooper Rowe responded to the 3900 block of Gordon Stinnett Avenue to assist with serving an arrest warrant. While serving the warrant, Drug paraphernalia was discovered. Ronald A. Whetzel 3rd, 24 of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DRIVING WITH A REVOKED LICENSE & MAKING A FALSE STATEMENT: On 6/22/2013 at 5:28 pm, Trooper Oles stopped a vehicle for traffic violations in the Solomons Shopping Center. The driver, Stephon M. Brown, 52 of Prince Frederick, was arrested after providing the Trooper with a false name and driving with a revoked license. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
