MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (February 26, 2013)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 2/19/2013 at 8:52 am, Trooper Matthews stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Plum Point Rd. in Prince Frederick. During the traffic stop, a search revealed that the driver, Alexandra D. Wilson, 20 of Dunkirk, was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia for which she was arrested and charged.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 2/20/2013 at 2:22 pm, Sergeant Roach received a complaint for a stolen registration plate from the victim's boat trailer. The tag, 827251G has been entered into MILES/NCIC. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF HEROIN: On 2/20/2013 at 3:00 pm, Trooper First Class Wiesemann stopped a vehicle at Rt. 4 and St. Leonard Rd. for traffic violations. A search of the vehicle revealed heroin and drug paraphernalia. Paul A. Vinciguerra Jr., 23 of St. Leonard, was arrested and was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 2/21/2013 at 12:08 pm, Trooper First Class Smith responded to the 4900 block of St. Leonard Rd. in St. Leonard for a report of destruction of property. The driver's door of a vehicle had been scratched and dented. Charges are pending against Howard T. Bright, 49 of Port Republic for the destruction of property.

THEFT: On 2/22/2013 at 4:19 pm, Trooper First Class Casarella responded to the 4900 block of Chavez Lane in Chesapeake Beach for a reported theft. A wedding ring was discovered missing from the home. Investigation continues.

DISORDERLY: On 2/23/2013 at 2:17 am, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to Captain Biggs in Chesapeake Beach for a fight in progress. Andrew K. Higgs, 24 of Chesapeake Beach, was arrested for disorderly conduct after being instructed to leave and continuing to argue with bystanders and interfering with EMS assisting a patient. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

FALSE STATEMENT TO POLICE OFFICER: On 2/24/2013 at 11:45 am, Trooper First Class Wiesemann responded to the 8300 block of Circle Drive in Lusby for a reported vehicle theft. Investigation revealed that Joseph H. Hobbs, 31 of Deale, had falsely reported his vehicle stolen. Hobbs was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
