MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (January 9, 2013)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 12/21/2012 at 8:30am, Trooper First Class Esnes responded to the 700 block of Lazy River Rd. in Lusby for a reported destruction of property. A vehicle's tires were punctured and two yard decorations were damaged. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On 12/22/2012 at 8:41 pm, Senior Trooper Gill responded to the 100 block of Schooner Lane in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. An employee at an auto body repair shop stole a reciprocating saw and sold it. The saw was recovered and charges are pending against Jamie L. Burkett, 35 of Prince Frederick for the theft.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 12/22/2012 at 9:53 pm, Trooper First Class West observed two people causing a disturbance in front of the Fastop in Chesapeake Beach. Both subjects were yelling, cursing, and disturbing customer at the store. Michael T. Macon, 33, and Rachel L. Loving, 32, both of North Beach, were arrested for disorderly conduct. Loving was additionally charged with False Statement to a Police Officer after providing a false name to the Trooper. They were incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA: On 12/23/2012 at 2:21 am, Trooper First Class R. Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 at Bowie Shop Rd. in Huntingtown. An odor of Burnt marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A search revealed Suboxone and synthetic marijuana. The driver, Timothy M. Flynn, 25 of Chicago, Ill., and two passengers, Daniel A. Cecil, 23 of Waldorf, and Anthony M. Yorke, 21 of California, were arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF K2-SPICE: On 12/24/2012 at 09:08 am, Trooper S. Lewis stopped a vehicle at Rt. 4 and Sixes Rd. in Prince Frederick for traffic violations. Angel J. Somerville, 26 of Lusby, was found to be in possession of synthetic Marijuana. She was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

BURGLARY: On 12/24/2012 at 9:24 am, Trooper Barlow responded to the 1100 block of Muskogee Lane in Lusby for a reported burglary. A shed on the property was entered and tools were stolen. Investigation continues.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: On 12/26/2012 at 3:13 am, Trooper First Class Wiesemann responded to the 500 block of Comstock Dr. in Lusby for a reported attempted burglary/destruction of property. A window and a set of bay doors at the victim's residence were broken. Investigation continues.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 12/27/2012 at 10:10 am, Trooper Matthews responded to the 300 block of Dresser Ave. in Prince Frederick for a reported destruction of property. The passenger side door of the victim's vehicle was damaged. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 12/28/2012 at 12:22 am, Trooper First Class Esnes stopped a vehicle at Rt. 231 and Rt. 508 in Prince Frederick for traffic violations. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. Earl S. Hawkins, 26, of Prince Frederick, was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT: On 12/29/2012 at 9:19 am, Trooper First Class Merkelson responded to the 6100 block of Huntingtown Rd. in Huntingtown for a reported theft. An oil tank was stolen from the property. Investigation continues.

TRESPASSING: On 1/1/13 at 3:40 pm, Trooper First Class Williams responded to the WAWA in Prince Frederick in reference to a complaint that a subject was harassing customers asking for money. TFC Williams made contact with Dale A. Brooks, 25 of Chesapeake Beach, and ordered him to leave the property. Brooks refused to leave and was subsequently arrested for trespassing.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 1/3/13 at 7:52 pm, Trooper Lewis responded to the 1200 block of Alta Dr. in Sunderland for a report of destruction of property. Christopher T. Agpaoa, 23 of Sunderland, broke a door and damaged a wall in the residence following an altercation with other residents. Charges are pending.

THEFT: On 1/4/13 at 9:17 am, Trooper First Class Smith responded to Prince Frederick Dodge in Prince Frederick for a reported theft. Four wheels were stolen from a vehicle at the dealership. Case remains open.

BURGLARY: On 1/5/13 at 8:18 am, Trooper First Class Casarella responded to the 1000 block of Carson Dr. in Huntingtown for a reported burglary. An unlocked shed was entered however, nothing was stolen. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA WITH THE INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE: On 1/6/13 at 12:04 am, Trooper First Class Logsdon stopped a vehicle on Rt. 260 at Kidwell Rd. in Owings for traffic violations. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. A passenger, Anthony C. Bryant, 35 of Capitol Heights, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and was arrested. Another passenger, Reginald D. Gater, 28 of Landover, was found to possess a large amount of marijuana which indicated an intent to distribute and was also arrested. Gater was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

ASSAULT: On 1/6/13 at 12:54 am, Trooper First Class Esnes responded to the 12000 block of Barrada Blvd. in Lusby for a reported domestic assault in progress. William V. Johnson, 31 of Lusby, was arrested for assaulting the victim during an argument. He was additionally charged with destruction of property, failing to obey a lawful order, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 1/7/13 at 12:40 am, Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle on Rt. 2 at Pushaw Station Rd. in Sunderland for traffic violations. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from inside the vehicle. Michael R. Matters, 37 of Lusby, and Amber C. Morgan, 32 of West River, were found to be in possession of marijuana and arrested.
