MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (September 28, 2012)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, September 24, at 2:53pm, Tpr. D. Buckalew served a Bench Warrant (T3-15694) for Violation of Probation, on William P. Kinney, 49, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Impaired on February 17. Mr. Kinney was located at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, September 25, at 10:30am, TFC J. Gibson served a Bench Warrant (T3-15667) on Chasity Nicole Sweeney, 22, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Driving While Suspended on September 5. Ms. Sweeney turned herself in the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. She was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Tuesday, September 25, at 12:34pm, Tpr. E. Reuschling responded to the Food Lion located at 20995 Point Lookout Road in Callaway, for a reported theft in progress. Upon arrival, Tpr. Reuschling made contact with the Loss Prevention Officer, who stated the suspect had fled the scene. Tpr. Reuschling made contact with operator of the vehicle that the suspect originally arrived to the store in. After speaking with the operator, Tpr. Reuschling was able to retrieve a name and was also able to gain access to a photo of Jennie Neva McGraw, 31, of Morganza, who the Loss Prevention Officer confirmed was the female that had stolen the items and fled the scene. Around 1:00pm, the operator of the vehicle returned Ms. McGraw to Food Lion and she admitted to taking the items in question. She was charged on a Criminal Citation and was released from the scene with a mandatory court date.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, September 26, at 9:10am, TFC N. Gresko served a Bench Warrant (T3-15619) on John M. Douglas, Jr., 23, of Charlotte Hall. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of Second Degree Assault on July 30. Mr. Douglas turned himself in the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center. He was served and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
