MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 16, 2012)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 4/9/2012 at 3:30 pm, Trooper Smith responded to Twin Beach Car Care on Donald's Way in Owings for a reported theft from a motor vehicle. Two rear wheels from a 1999 Ford F-150 truck were stolen from a vehicle parked at the business. Investigation continues.

SHOPLIFTING: On 4/9/2012 @ 8:22 pm, Trooper First Class Donaldson responded to the Fastop in St. Leonard for a report of shoplifting. Brandon R. Saunders, 23 of St. Leonard, was charged with stealing food from the store.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 4/10/2012 at 12:51 am, Trooper Lewis stopped a vehicle on Rt. 260 at Rt. 778 in Owings for traffic violations. A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed that Brian S. Whitlock, 42 of North Beach, was in possession of Marijuana. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: On 4/10/2012 at 6:22 pm, Trooper Smith responded to the 11800 block of Clifton Dr. in Lusby for a reported theft of motor vehicles. Two vehicles, a 1967 Plymouth Barracuda and a 1974 Pontiac Grand Prix were stolen from the property. The vehicles had been parked on the property for several years. Investigation continues.

THEFT OF TAG: On 4/10/2012 at 7:35 pm, Sgt. Roach received a report of a registration plate stolen from a vehicle on Mason Court in Prince Frederick. The victim's front registration plate "M772597" was stolen. Investigation continues.

THEFT: On 4/12/2012 at 5:03 pm, Trooper Casarella responded to Calvert Memorial Hospital regarding a reported theft of a purse. An employee working in the birthing center had her purse stolen from a locker. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 4/12/2012 @ 9:01 pm, Trooper First Class Donaldson stopped a vehicle on Lower Marlboro Rd. in Sunderland for traffic violations. David H. Pagan, 46 of Huntingtown was found to be in possession of marijuana. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DUI, POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: On 4/14/2012 @ 10:16 pm, Trooper First Class West stopped a vehicle on Broomes Island Rd near Rt. 4 in Port Republic for traffic violations. Christopher E. Ridel, 25 of Port Republic, was arrested for DUI. A search revealed that he was in possession of marijuana. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.
