LA PLATA, Md. (November 29, 2011)—The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

ATTEMPT ROBBERY: On Nov. 27 at 10:17 p.m., three suspects knocked on the back door of the Cold Stone Creamery at 3063 Waldorf Market Place as employees were closing the shop. The employees opened the door and the masked suspects entered and attempted to steal the proceeds. The employees fought the suspects off but one employee was injured during the altercation. The suspects fled without obtaining money. The employee was treated for a non life-threatening injury. A police K-9 team responded and recovered evidence. The Criminal Investigations Division is handling.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPT BURGLARY: On Nov. 27 at 3:51 a.m., an officer patrolling the 3000 block of Market Place observed a man hanging around the breezeway near the California Tortilla. As officers approached, they heard glass shatter and observed the suspect flee. He was arrested after a brief struggle. The suspect, Walter Israel Portillo-Garcia, 21, of Waldorf, was in possession of two knives and a broom handle. He was charged with attempt burglary and destruction of property. PFC J. Piazza and PFC P. DeBoe made the arrest.

BURGLARY REPORTED: On Nov. 27 between 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., unknown suspect(s) broke into a house in the 12000 block of Country Lane in Waldorf and stole game systems and other items. Officer B. Clark is investigating.

ROBBERY: On Nov. 26 at 7:24 p.m., two masked suspects entered the 925 Liquors at 2795 Old Washington Road in Waldorf and demanded money. The victims complied and the suspects fled. Detective G. Higgs is investigating.

OFFICERS ARREST INTRUDERS AT HIGH SCHOOL: On Nov. 25 at 8:35 p.m., officers responded to Thomas Stone High School at 3785 Leonardtown Road in Waldorf for an intrusion alarm. Officers observed one suspect, 18, outside the school and she indicated two additional suspects - a male, 18, and another male, 12 - were still inside. A police K-9 team located the two suspects inside. At this point, it does not appear anything was stolen. The suspects were charged with burglary, destruction of property and trespassing. PFC. R. Bagley is investigating.

OFFICERS LOCATE STOLEN CAR AND ARREST OCCUPANTS: On Nov. 25 at 11:30 p.m., officers observed a suspicious car in the area of Promenade Place in Waldorf. A computer check revealed the car had been stolen from a neighboring county. Officers initiated a traffic stop and arrested the occupants. The suspects, Isaiah Vance Allen, 18, of Waldorf, Vincent Valentino Brooks, 20, of Waldorf, and Doneisha Georenique Brown, 19, of Clinton, were charged with possession of a stolen car. Officer C. Gregory made the arrest.

VANDALISM/RRE: Between Nov. 23 - Nov. 25, unknown suspect (s) wrote profanity and racial slurs on a car parked in the 11600 block of Heart River Court in Waldorf. Officers canvassed the area and learned the homeowner was out of town when the event occurred. Officer B. Clark is investigating.
