MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (November 15, 2011)—The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT: On 11/8/2011 at 8:10 am, Trooper First Class Evans responded to a vacant building on Sherry Lane in Prince Frederick, formerly Jasper's Restaurant, for a report of a man with a gun. Investigation revealed that Thomas L. Bolander, 50 of West River, was involved in a dispute about items being removed from the building by the former owner. Bolander arrived at the site and brandished a shotgun while ordering workers out of the building. One of the witnesses disarmed Bolander and Troopers arrived shortly afterward. Sgt. Roach from the Calvert Investigative Team responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Bolander has been charged with assault.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11/8/2011 at 1:27 pm, Trooper First Class Johns responded to the 11400 block of Long Bow Ct. in Solomons for a reported theft from a vehicle. A cross bow and 4 arrows were removed from the inside of the victim's truck while parked at his residence. Investigation continues.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE NARCOTICS: On 11/8/2011 at 2:30 pm, Trooper First Class Lewis stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Town Center Blvd. in Dunkirk. During a search of the vehicle, Kevin E. Curry, Jr., 28 of Clinton, was found to be possession of Ecstasy. A large amount of US Currency and a car were also seized. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DUI, POSSESSION OF COCAINE: On 11/9/2011 at 1:02 am, Trooper Costello stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Rt. 4 south of Ball Rd. in St. Leonard. Jerry D. Tasker, 59 of Chesapeake Beach, was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest. A search was conducted he was found to be in possession of cocaine. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: On 11/11/2011 at 2:36 am, Trooper Williams responded to the 6400 block of Broomes Island Rd. in St. Leonard for a disorderly subject. Jocquel B. Wallace, 25 of St. Leonard, was extremely intoxicated and had become disorderly inside the residence. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

HANDGUN IN VEHICLE: On 11/11/2011 at 10:01 am, Trooper First Class West stopped a vehicle for traffic violations on Calvert Beach Rd. in St. Leonard. During the traffic stop, a handgun was located in the vehicle. Herchel C. Wilder, 3rd, 25 of Lusby, was subsequently charged for the weapon violation.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On 11/11/2011 at 2:34 pm, Trooper First Class Evans responded to the 800 block of Calvert Towne Dr. in Prince Frederick for a reported destruction of property. Unknown suspect(s) kicked and dented the front door of the victim's residence. Investigation continues.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A MOTOR VEHICLE: On 11/12/2011 at 10:32 pm, Trooper First Class Sorenson responded to the 9200 block of Atlantic Ave. in North Beach for a reported unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. A 2003 blue Ford Ranger Pickup was taken from the victim's residence without permission by Shannon M Kirk, 28 of Chesapeake Beach. An application for an arrest warrant has been submitted to the District Court Commissioner. Investigation continues.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 11/13/2011 at 12:20 pm, Trooper First Class Logsdon responded to the 1500 block of Overlook Dr. in St. Leonard for a reported theft. The front vehicle registration plate was stolen from the vehicle. Investigation continues.
