MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (April 26, 2011)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Tuesday, April 19 at 11:00 p.m., TFC M. B. Adams served a Bench Warrant (T3-14639) on Omar Tobias Winchester, 29, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued for Mr. Winchester's arrest on October 26, 2010 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Winchester was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m., TFC R. B. Rezza extradited Juan Francisco Soriano, 28, of Alexandria, Virginia from the Prince William County Detention Center. Mr. Soriano was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center for service of a Circuit Court warrant issued on September 21, 2006. The original charge was Resisting / Interfering with Arrest. Mr. Soriano was held at the Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, April 21 at 5:00 a.m., Tpr. J. C. Hardesty served a Bench Warrant (T3-14859) on Jesse Marie Russell, 27, of Leonardtown. The warrant was issued with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License by the District Court of St. Mary's County on March 22. Ms. Russell was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

FALSE STATEMENT TO POLICE OFFICER: On Thursday, April 21 at 9:16 a.m., Tpr. R. L. Jackson initiated a traffic stop on a blue Yamaha motorcycle in the area of Hermanville Road and Maryland Route 5 in Lexington Park. Upon making contact with the operator, Tpr. Jackson requested license and registration information. The subject provided a name and date of birth but advised he had no identification in his possession. A MVA query of the name provided revealed that the subject on the traffic stop did not match the on file photo for the name. Upon confronting the operator on the discrepancies, the operator, later positively identified as Jeramey Kishan Bradshaw, Sr., 22, of Lexington Park attempted to flee the scene on foot. Following a short foot chase, Mr. Bradshaw was apprehended in the 20000 block of Spitfire Court in Lexington Park. It was determined that Mr. Bradshaw was operating the motor vehicle on suspended and revoked driving privileges. He was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and charged according. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Thursday, April 21 at 7:09 p.m., TFC N. E. Gresko initiated a traffic stop on a white Oldsmobile in the area of Westbury Boulevard and Maryland Route 246 in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon activating his emergency equipment, TFC Gresko observed the vehicle speed up and turn onto Edgar Way before coming to a stop in a parking space. TFC Gresko also observed a plastic bag being thrown from the window, which was later determined to be CDS. Subsequently upon making contact, TFC Gresko detained the passenger and operator of the vehicle. When additional units arrived on scene, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing a BB Gun under the passenger seat. Arrested for Possession of CDS and CDS Paraphernalia was the passenger of the vehicle, Shane Nicolas Wilcoxen, 19, of Lexington Park. Mr. Wilcoxen was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Friday, April 22 at 1:02 a.m., TFC E. M. Evans initiated a traffic stop on a Honda Accord in the area of Maryland Route 5 and Hilton Ridge Drive in Lexington Park for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, a male juvenile, 17, of White Plains, TFC Evans detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing CDS in both the center console and rear passenger seat. The juvenile operator was arrested and transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack. He was released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, April 22 at 3:25 p.m., TFC N. E. Gresko served an Arrest Warrant (T3-13969) on Pamela Louise Wood (Johnson), 24, of Callaway. The warrant was issued for Ms. Wood's arrest with an original charge of Second Degree Assault on May 27, 2009 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Ms. Wood was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, April 23 at 1:58 a.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-14902) on Keith Randall Nelson, 37, of Avenue. The warrant was issued on April 14 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge from a Grand Jury Indictment of Conspire - Theft $1000.00 to $10, 000. 00. Mr. Nelson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with a District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Sunday, April 24 at 9:45 p.m., Tpr. Wiesemann served a Circuit Court Warrant (T3-14901) on Richard Larry Bassford, 37, of Hollywood. The warrant was issued on April 14 by the Circuit Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge from a Grand Jury Indictment of Conspire - Theft $1000.00 to $10, 000.00. Mr. Bassford was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Monday, April 18 at 12:52 p.m., Tpr. B. T. Wiesemann initiated a traffic stop on blue Mazda in the area of Asher Road and Mechanicsville Road for a traffic violation. Upon making contact with the operator, Steven Michael Crist, 26, of Mechanicsville, Tpr. Wiesemann detected the odor of burnt marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Following information provided by Mr. Crist, a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted revealing CDS and CDS paraphernalia. A MVA query also revealed Mr. Crist's driving privileges were suspended through Maryland. Mr. Crist was subsequently arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged accordingly and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, April 18 at 7:25 p.m., TFC M. B. Adams served a Bench Warrant (T3-14871) on Corey L. Bond, 42, of Mechanicsville. Mr. Bond was wanted on an original charge of Second Degree Assault. The warrant was issued on March 29 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Bond was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

DRUG ARREST: On Tuesday, April 19 at 11:11 p.m., Tpr. S. M. Ditoto responded to the 22000 block of Long Bow Drive in California to assist the St. Mary's County Sheriffs Office with a burglary investigation. Lookout information was provided indicating that three young males were potential suspects in the crime. While patrolling the area, Tpr. Ditoto observed a vehicle in the area of Victorian Drive with occupants that matched lookout information. Upon making contact with the vehicles and occupants, Tpr. Ditoto detected the odor of burnt marijuana. A probable cause search of the vehicle and its occupants revealed CDS and CDS Paraphernalia on the rear floorboard. Arrested for possession of CDS was a juvenile male, 17, of California. The juvenile was transported to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack and released to a guardian pending further action by Juvenile Services. Tpr. Ditoto's investigation did not produce information relevant to the original burglary investigation.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, April 20 at 11:50 a.m., TFC K. D. Lashley served a Bench Warrant (T3-14899) on Brian Keith Johns, 33, of Mechanicsville. The warrant was issued on April 15 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The original charge was Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Mr. Johns was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
