MSP Reports for Calvert County


PRINCE FREDERICK, Md. (April 13, 2011) — The Prince Frederick Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

POSSESSION OF PILLS: On 4/4/11 at 2:15 p.m., Trooper Logsdon was dispatched to check the welfare of a person stumbling in the roadway. Charles E. Best, 3rd, 26 of Prince Frederick, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and a controlled dangerous substance. He was found to be in possession of prescription drugs not prescribed to him. He was charged and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

POSSESSION OF OXYCODONE: On 4/5/11 at 11:50 p.m., Trooper First Class Lewis responded to the Prince Frederick Walmart regarding possible shoplifting complaint. Brandi R. Reumont, 29 of Huntingtown, was questioned and was found to be in possession of Oxycodone that was not prescribed to her. An arrest warrant has been requested.

POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE COCAINE: On 4/7/11 at 11:22 a.m., Trooper First Class Donaldson stopped a vehicle for traffic violations Rt. 261, north of Rt. 260 in Chesapeake Beach. The driver, Robert L. Paddy, 24 of Upper Marlboro, was arrested after Troopers observed a plastic baggie containing cocaine in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing numerous individually packaged baggies of cocaine. He was arrested incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

WARRANT SERVICE, FALSE STATEMENT TO POLICE OFFICER: On 4/8/11 at 12:58 a.m., Trooper West responded to the 8300 block of Bayside Dr. in Chesapeake Beach for a trespassing complaint. Maxwell R. Tall, 25 of Sunderland, was located and questioned during which he provided a false name. During the investigation, his true name was discovered and it was learned that he had an open warrant for his arrest. He was incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 4/8/11 at 3:55 p.m., Trooper First Class Evans responded to the 5700 block of Stephen Reid Rd. in Huntingtown for a reported theft from a vehicle. The vehicle was left unlocked while parked in front of the residence. A black Tom Tom GPS unit and other miscellaneous items were removed from the vehicle. Investigation continues.

ASSAULT WITH A FIREARM: On 4/9/11 at 11:36 p.m., Trooper First Class Parker responded to the McDonald's in Prince Frederick for a report of an assault with a firearm. Investigation revealed that Mitchell W. Ruslander, 19 of Huntingtown, became involved in an argument and pointed a black handgun at the victim which was later discovered to be a BB gun. He was arrested and incarcerated at the Calvert County Detention Center.

Shawn T. LOTTER, 22, of Lexington Park, arrested on 04/09/11 @ 01:46 a.m. by TPR. W. Smith

Steven K. DARCH, 56, of Prince Frederick, arrested on 04/09/11 @ 02:14 p.m. by TFC C. Dawson

Douglas P. RICHARDSON, 38, of Millersville, arrested on 04/10/11 @ 12:00 a.m. by TPR. W. Smith
