Huntington Man Perishes When Car Hits Tree


CALIFORNIA, Md. (December 16, 2010) — A 25-year-old Huntington man perished on Tuesday when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Police say William Robert Salmon fell asleep around 7:48 a.m. while driving a 2003 GMC Savana northbound on Maryland Route 5 at Renner Road in Waldorf.

No other vehicles or passengers were involved in the accident.

The collision is being investigated by Trooper Ellington of the Maryland State Police, La Plata barrack.
