MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (October 25, 2010)—The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE: On Friday, October 15 at 2:34am, TFC N. E. Gresko responded to 46000 block of Lei Drive in Lexington Park for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 42, of Lexington Park, who advised that he was struck by Krista Renee Hall, 27, of Lexington Park, while engaged in an argument. Statements provided by the complainant, a witness and Ms. Hall resulted in Ms. Hall being identified as the aggressor. Ms. Hall was charged with Second Degree Assault and served on a Criminal Summons on October 21.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 20 at 9:23pm, Tpr. R. L. Jackson served a bench warrant (T3-14435) on William Lewis Lawrence, 23, of Lexington Park. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on May 13 with an original charge of Second Degree Assault. Mr. Lawrence was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Wednesday, October 20 at 10:10pm, Tpr. R. L. Jackson and Tpr. S. M. Morton served Jessica Adele Kearney, 25, of Hollywood, on two outstanding bench warrants (T3-14593 / T3-14611). The warrants were issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on September 23 and October 1. Original charges were CDS Possession - Not Marijuana, and Possession of Contraband in a place of confinement. Ms. Kearney was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

THEFT UNDER $100: On Thursday, October 21 at 8:27pm, Tpr. S. M. Morton responded to the Wal-Mart in the 45000 block of Miramar Way in California for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 21, of Dundalk, who advised he observed a juvenile male, 12, of Lexington Park, place merchandise in his pocket and attempt to exit the establishment without paying for it. The juvenile was detained by Loss Prevention personnel until law enforcement arrival, and the merchandise was recovered. The juvenile was released on scene to a guardian pending further action by juvenile services.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, October 22 at 7:18am, TFC D. S. Brill arrested Michael Andrew Dorsey on an outstanding bench warrant (T3-14638) issued by the District Court of Charles County. Mr. Dorsey was originally charged with Driving On A Suspended License on October 1. Mr. Dorsey was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Saturday, October 23 at 2:30am, Tpr. S. Casarella served an arrest warrant (T3-14542) on Edwin Robert Moser, 34, of an unknown address, for Second Degree Assault. The warrant was issued on August 10 by the District Court of St. Mary's County. Mr. Moser was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

ASSAULT 2ND DEGREE, CHILD ABUSE: On Saturday, October 23 at 8:20pm, Cpl. J. L. Linger responded to the 23000 block of Shady Mile Drive in California for a reported disturbance in a residence. Upon arrival, contact was made with a female complainant, 42, of California, who advised that a male juvenile, 5, of California was assaulted by Charles Henry Countiss, 51, of California, while in Mr. Countiss' custody. The complainant and victim provided accounts to Cpl. Linger that indicated that the juvenile was assaulted numerous times by Mr. Countiss on various dates and times. Contact was made with Mr. Countiss whom appeared intoxicated and was unwilling to provide any information regarding the incident. Subsequently, Mr. Countiss was arrested and transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center where he was charged with Second Degree Assault and Child Abuse. He was held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner. This case has been forwarded to the Department of Social Services for further investigation.

MALICIOUS DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On Sunday, October 24 at 5:45pm, Tpr. E. R. Mersman responded to 22000 block of Callahan Road in Great Mills for a reported malicious destruction of property. Upon arrival, contact was made with a male complainant, 26, of Great Mills, who advised between 12:00am on October 24 and when it was observed at 5:45pm on October 24 an unknown subject damaged tires on his vehicle. Two tires were cut and left flat on a white 1994 Plymouth. No suspect information was provided by the complainant. Any information pertaining to this incident may be forwarded to the Maryland State Police Leonardtown Barrack.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, October 25 at 2:45am, Tpr. S. Casarella served a bench warrant (T3-14121) on Devone Michael Thompson, 20, of Loveville. The warrant was issued on September 22, 2009 by the District Court of St. Mary's County with an original charge of CDS Possession - Marijuana. Mr. Thompson was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
