LA PLATA, Md. (August 31, 2010) - The Charles County Sheriff's Office released the following incident and arrest reports.

ROBBERY: On August 28 at 9:49 p.m., three males entered the Palador club at 3360 Livingston Road in Indian Head armed with handguns. They demanded money and the victim complied. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence. One suspect is described as a black male in his 30's - 40's and the other suspects are black males in their late teens to early 20's. A cash reward is being offered for the tip that leads to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Tona at (301) 609-6501.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH: On August 28 at 2:28 a.m., the driver of a Ford Mustang was clocked on radar at nearly 100 M.P.H. at the intersection of Route 228 and Sun Valley Drive in Waldorf. The officer attempted to locate the driver but the vehicle was out of sight. The officer continued searching for the car and came upon it near Leonardtown Road and Route 925. According to witnesses, the driver crossed over the double yellow lines, became airborne, and struck another car, injuring a driver and passenger. The driver of the Mustang, a 26-year-old man, failed two sobriety tests and was transported to a hospital where a blood test for alcohol was administered. The occupants of the other car were treated for non life-threatening injuries. Charges are pending and the investigation is on-going.

ROBBERY: On August 27 at 7:19 p.m., two males approached a 15-year-old male on a path near St. Ignatius Drive in Waldorf. The suspects assaulted the teen and stole his iPod. The victim described the suspects as being in their teens. The victim was treated for injuries he sustained during the assault. Officers canvassed the area and processed the scene for evidence.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: On August 26 at 1 p.m., unknown suspects broke into a work site near Buds Ferry Road in Nanjemoy, removed property from a building and threw it in a nearby cove. Officers located evidence and are continuing their investigation.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY: Between August 18 - August 20, unknown suspects spray painted graffiti on an entrance sign to Wilkerson Road and Crowfoot Court. The same graffiti was located on a CSX railroad junction box several miles away. Investigators are working on leads and the investigation is on-going.

DIRT BIKE CRASH: On Sunday, August 29 at 3:30 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of Hannon Drive in La Plata for the report of a dirt bike crash. A preliminary investigation revealed the operator of the dirt bike, a 17-year-old male, was riding the bike near his home when he struck a car which was parked in a neighbor's yard. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike and lost consciousness. He was flown to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. The crash is under investigation.
