MSP Reports for St. Mary's County


LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Aug. 5, 2010) - The Leonardtown Barrack of the Maryland State Police (MSP) today released the following incident and arrest reports.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Friday, July 30 at 7:40 pm, TFC M. J. Pitcher served a fugitive arrest warrant on Nicholas David Johnson, 24, of Leonardtown. Mr. Johnson is currently incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center pending extradition on an outstanding out of state warrant.

THEFT OVER $1,000: On Monday, August 2 at 10:09 am, TFC E. M. Evans responded to the 41000 block of Gibson Drive in Mechanicsville for a reported theft. Upon arrival, contact was made with the female complainant, 46, of Mechanicsville, who advised between May of 2010 and August 1 an unknown subject stole valuables from her residence. The complainant was unable to provide any additional information. This investigation is ongoing; any information pertaining to this case may be forwarded to the Leonardtown Barrack.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Monday, August 2 at 2:30 pm, TFC R. B. Rezza arrested Joseph Leroy Lacey, Jr., 33, of Leonardtown, on an arrest warrant (T3-14532) issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County. The warrant was issued on August 2 for a violation of a court order. Mr. Lacey was transported to the St. Mary's County Detention Center and will be held pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.

WARRANT SERVICE: On Thursday, August 5 Maliek Lashawn Bryan, 22, of Fort Washington, was located by the Maryland State Police in College Park while on a traffic stop. Mr. Bryan was relayed to St. Mary's County for an outstanding warrant. At 4:00 am on August 5, TFC M. B. Adams served a bench warrant (T3-14467) on Mr. Bryan at the St. Mary's County Detention Center. The warrant was issued by the District Court of St. Mary's County on June 8 with an original charge of Driving On A Suspended License. Mr. Bryan will be held at the Detention Center pending a bond review with the District Court Commissioner.
